1:09 a.m. Thursday — Sean T. Parrott, 21, of Butler was arrested after police found him passed out over a chair in front of a bar on North Main Street. Officers had a difficult time awakening Parrott, who appeared to be intoxicated.Later, officers searched Parrott at the station and found a small baggie containing an unknown white substance. Police said Parrott is charged with possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness.9:29 p.m. Wednesday — A suspected shoplifter was arrested after she pushed aside an employee who tried to stop her getaway from the Dollar General store on North Main Street.The suspect, April D. Hemphill, 27, of Clay Township who is accused of taking $60 worth of clothing items, was caught and arraigned on charges of robbery and retail theft. She is free on her own recognizance.8:15 p.m. Wednesday — Christopher Lee Sibble, 28, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence and hit-and-run after his car struck a garage on North Monroe Street and a stone wall on nearby East Locust Street.Sibble's car was badly damaged but he still was able to drive away. The garage, owned by James Sisk, and the wall surrounding Butler Catholic School also were damaged.A short time after the wreck, police found Sibble's unoccupied car parked in the 400 block of East Locust Street. The vehicle had severe front end and back end damage. The front right tire was flat and the rear window was smashed out.Police went to Sibble's home nearby and found him waiting outside. “I'm sorry I ran,” he told officers,” according to a police report.He admitted he had been at a club that night and drank three or four beers.A breath test showed Sibble's blood-alcohol level was 0.219 percent, more than twice the state's 0.08 percent legal limit.4:18 p.m. Tuesday — James T. Mullen, 36, no known address, is accused of breaking into his uncle's apartment on Cleveland Street and stealing 45 prescription painkillers.Mullen is charged with burglary and theft.

6:10 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Edward V. Debacco, 47, of Karns City struck a deer on Sandy Point Road about two-tenths of a mile north of Byron Center Road in Allegheny Township.Thursday — An unknown burglar stole jewelry and prescription medication from a home on East Woodbury Drive in Marion Township. The break-in occurred between 5:35 and 10 a.m.Thursday — A Colt .45-caliber pistol, television, jewelry, money and several folding knives were stolen from a home in the 400 block of Prospect Road in Forward Township.7:30 p.m. Wednesday — A dognapper made off with a “yorkiepoo” snatched from a home in the 600 block of Seven Hills Road in Concord Township. The thief, a woman, drove away with the dog in a gray Dodge Avenger.The dog, a cross breed Yorkshire terrier and poodle, is named “Oscar.”5:25 p.m. Wednesday — Fire caused about $500 in damage to a house on Kelly Road in Clay Township. The fire marshal is investigating the blaze. The Mildred Bertoncello estate owns the house.5:11 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Joshua S. Morrison, 22, of Petrolia struck a tree that had fallen across Parker Pike about one-half mile west of Sertik Road in Allegheny Township. A strong rain and wind storm and knocked the tree on to the road.June 30 — A Marlin .22-caliber bolt-action rile and two boxes of ammunition were stolen from a home in the 700 block of Game Reserve Road in Donegal Township. The theft happened between 2 p.m. June 29 and 6 p.m. June 30.
