EAST BUTLER — A corn-a-palooza fundraising event will take place to aid the family of Kent Scheidt, who died on May 17.

The corn hole tournament will start at 3 p.m. July 13 at the EBBA Baseball Complex.

Teams should register by Monday by e-mailing Tom Gallagher at tom.gallagher@sintermet.com.

The cost is $20 per team of two. The tournament will include food, T-shirts and music.

Proceeds will benefit an education fund for the Scheidt children.
