SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University football coach George Mihalik has been named recipient of the 2012 Eastern Collegiate Football Officials Association’s sportsmanship award.

He will receive the award during the ECFOA’s annual clinic Aug. 3-4 at West Chester University.

Mihalik is 168-102-4 in 25 years as SRU head coach. He was named the Tri-State Officials Association’s Coach of the Year in 1999.
