Butler Twp Police10:59 a.m. Wednesday — Brian J. Bartock, 27, of Butler was arrested after he caused a commotion during a traffic stop in the township’s Highfield section. Police said Bartock was “extremely uncooperative” with officers “by yelling and screaming.”Officers repeatedly told the defendant to calm down, but he refused, according to a police report. Police said after he failed to heed the last warning, he was arrested.Bartock was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and driving without a license, and released on his own recognizance.
State Police, Butler8:58 a.m. Thursday — Two women were hurt in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on Route 68 just south of Goose Haven Lane in Connoquenessing Township. The wreck happened when a car driven by Pamela K. Aspinall, 65, of Portersville rear-ended a car driven by Shannon C. Hoppe, 44, of Parker.The collision, in turn, forced Hoppe’s vehicle, into the back of a car driven by Courtney R. Reamer, 22, of Butler. Aspinall and Hoppe, who were both wearing seat belts, suffered unknown injuries. Police said Aspinall, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital, was cited for careless driving.
State Police, Mercer3:24 p.m. Monday — Three children were among five people hurt when a minivan driven by Scott N. Saunders, 47, of North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, crashed into a culvert and rolled onto its roof on Interstate 79 just south of Blacktown Road in Springfield Township.Saunders and his passengers, Patricia Saunders, 45, and children ages 10, 12 and 14, all of North Huntingdon, suffered minor injuries. All five occupants were wearing seat belts.May 10 — A tractor valued at $40,000 was stolen from the Lamb & Webster farm equipment store on Sandy Lake Road in Wolf Creek Township. The tractor, a 2012 Case International Harvester Farmall 110A model, was taken between May 2 and 10.3:30 a.m. May 23 — A tractor-trailer driven by Abdi A. Osman, 40, of Sioux Falls, S.D., struck a deer on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township.
