Monday — Police charged Shane J. Wentworth, 32 of Polk, Venango County, with driving a vehicle not equipped with a court-ordered ignition interlock device, stemming from a traffic stop at 6:20 p.m. April 30 on Route 58. Wentworth also was cited for speeding.Middlesex Twp PoliceMay 10 — Jeffrey S. Lengyel Jr., 28, was arrested after his parents notified police that they had found suspected drugs and related contraband in his bedroom at the family's home on Browns Hill Road.Police later seized 138 full and 25 empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, eight syringes and other evidence, according to court documents.Lengyel, during an interview, police said, acknowledged he had bought the drugs May 8 in Pittsburgh. He also admitted he had been using heroin for about a year, documents said.The defendant was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He remains free on $10,000 bail.

5:37 p.m. Thursday — Rodney J. Hiles, 21, of East Brady, Clarion County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after police found his vehicle with two flat tires on McGarvey Road in Donegal Township.1:50 p.m. Wednesday — Keith A. Nebel, 40, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after he was stopped for speeding on Route 422 in Clearfield Township. Police said a search of Nebel's vehicle turned up suspected crack cocaine and a crack pipe.6 a.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Melissa M. Smith, 37, of Butler rear-ended a car on Route 8 at Overbrook Road in Middlesex Township. Police said Smith was cited for not stopping at a red light. Eugene P. Keefer, 30, of Butler was driving the car.4:58 a.m. Wednesday — Robert C. Schwanbeck, 26, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 68 and Brownsdale Road in Forward Township.Tuesday — Miller's Garage on Davis Road in Oakland Township was cited for conducting a faulty vehicle inspection May 7. Police issued five citations against the business.Monday — An unknown thief stole a spool of aluminum, 200-watt electrical wire from 555 Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township. The theft happened between May 2 and Monday.

4:35 p.m. Thursday — One person was hurt when a sport utility vehicle driven by Jeffrey A. Barkley, 52, of Zelienople struck the back of a car on the Interstate 79 off-ramp at Route 208 in Springfield Township. The other driver, Courtney A. Redmond, 31, of Hermitage, suffered a minor injury. She was wearing a seat belt.Barkley, according to a police report, was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.9 p.m. Wednesday — Brian Sherrouse, 29, and Katelyn Hughes, 20, both of Mercer were arrested after allegedly attacking one another during a domestic dispute at a home on Leesburg Station Road in Springfield Township. Both suffered minor injuries in the altercation and each is charged with simple assault.Additionally, Hughes is charged with harassment and underage drinking. Both defendants were arraigned on charges and released on their own recognizance
