Third grade students at Connoquenessing Elementary School were asked about what makes each of their mothers so special. Here’s what they say:

My mom is special because she cares for me because my mother plays with me. Also she cooks our food. The best thing she gets me jammies. That is why my mom is special.

My mom is special because she makes me feel very happy. Also she makes my family happy. She does so many things for us. Cooking is her passion. Also she helps me when I’m sick. That’s how special my mom is to me.

My mom is special because she does so many things for us. Also she likes to do our laundry for us. My mother is a good mom to have. Mom does the vacuuming so it looks clean in our house.

My mom is special because she loves me, if I was sick she would make me feel better, and when we lost my pet bird she told me it will be all right. She was right I love my mother, and she loves me.

My mom is special because when there is laundry, she does it. When the dishes are dirty, she does them. When I’m sick, she takes care of me. When I’m hungry, she gets me something to eat. She gets me stuff so I’m not bored. That is why she is special.
