4:14 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Amy L. Boal, 23, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by William D. Croup, 42, of Butler Township collided at West North Street and Wagner Avenue. Police said Boal was cited for improperly emerging from an alley, driveway or building.7:12 p.m. Friday — Tracee Barton, 39, of East Brady, Clarion County, was seriously injured when the car she was riding in was rear-ended on Jefferson Street at Second Street. Barton, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered head and neck injuries. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and later flown by medical helicopter to an unspecified Pittsburgh hospital.Barton was a passenger in a car driven by Stephanee R. Barton, 19, of East Brady, which was stopped in traffic. Police said the other driver, Robert T. Bateman II, 24, of Penn Township, was cited for driving at an unsafe sped.Friday — Someone overnight broke a window at Bennett Glass in the 490 block of West Locust Street. Damage was estimated at $500.3:01 p.m. Tuesday — A tan canvas bag containing $35 in currency was reported stolen from the front porch of an apartment in the 200 block of South Bluff Street.April 29 — An unknown vandal fired a BB gun at Cowoski Catering in the 300 block of West Wayne Street. Two 8-by-8-foot windows sustained small holes. Police do not know when the vandalism happened.
12:40 p.m. Saturday — Cars driven by Julie S. Gilliland 53, and John S. Furman, 50, both of Butler, collided at Route 68 and Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Gilliland was cited for making an improper left turn.2 a.m. Saturday — Two white males reportedly attacked 19-year-old Randy Lee Halstead of West Sunbury at the Woodbine Oaks Trailer Park in Oakland Township. The assailants left in a late model, dark-colored Chevrolet van. Police did not say if they have any suspects.Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.7:56 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Jeanne W. Kasbee, 56, of Meadville, Crawford County, crashed and overturned on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Kasbee, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Friday — A Peak Performance battery jump-starter was stolen from the front porch of a home in the 1400 block of Oneida Valley Road in Concord Township. The item, worth $100, was taken between 10 a.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. Friday. Police said they have no suspects.April 19 — An unknown identity thief used a 40-year-old Saxonburg woman's bank debit card to make unauthorized purchases totaling $215.
4:15 a.m. Sunday — Justin D. Graham, 25, of Franklin was arrested after he was caught allegedly breaking into Liberty Electronics on Wible Way in Sugarcreek. Police said Graham entered the fenced-in rear lot at the business and placed copper wire into two duffel bags.Troopers were called and found the suspect hiding inside the lot. Graham tried to escape by running into the building, according to a police report, but he was caught after a short struggle.Graham was arraigned on burglary and other charges and placed in the Venango County Jail.
Saturday — Someone broke into the Mercer County Grange Fairgrounds in Findley Township and tried to open a safe inside. The unknown suspect or suspects damaged the safe and a door jamb but nothing was taken in the burglary between March 1 and Saturday.Thursday — Four hubcaps were stolen from a 1999 Toyota Corolla at the Premium Outlets parking lot in Springfield Township. The theft happened between 7:55 and 11:55 p.m.
Sunday — Burglars stripped out a mobile home and garage in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, of all its copper plumbing, wiring and any other material that could be scrapped Damage to the property on Shady Lane was estimated at $10,000. Police suspect the home was burglarized and the property taken over an unknown period of time.
