Butler Police3:09 p.m. Tuesday — One person was hurt in a three vehicle wreck in downtown.The crash happened when a tractor-trailer driven by Ernest E. Fry, 60, of Pataskala, Ohio, traveling north on South Main Street turned left too sharply and struck a car stopped on West Wayne Street at a red light.The collision pushed the car driven by Marjorie S. Knoch, 66, of Butler Township backward into a minivan that was stopped behind the car. Jennifer R. Burd, 32, of Summit Township was driving the van.Knoch, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said Fry was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.
State Police, New CastleApril 9 — An unknown identity thief used a Perry Township woman’s credit card number to make an unauthorized $465.45 online purchase.
Grove City Police2:07 a.m. Sunday — Robert Rottman, 29, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was caught spinning tires in the Youth Festival parking lot on South Broad Street. Officers were called and stopped his car on Limberg Way near East Pine Street. In addition to DUI, Rottman faces a ticket for careless driving.
State Police, Kittanning8:58 p.m. Monday — A car driven by a 17-year-old Kittanning girl crashed into an embankment and tree along Church Road just east of Route 28 in North Buffalo Township. The car rolled onto its driver’s side. Police said the girl, who they did not identify, was cited for a lane violation.Monday — Police filed a pair of traffic citations against Brady D. Patsy, 24, of East Brady stemming from an April 14 crash in Sugarcreek Township.The wreck happened at 3:35 p.m. when Patsy lost control of his speeding sport utility vehicle on Route 268 and slid into an embankment in front of the Mechling-Shakley Veterans Center in Sugarcreek Township. The car rolled over the lawn at the center and ended in a home’s driveway.Patsy, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital in East Franklin Township with minor injuries. Sugarcreek volunteer firefighters and ambulance assisted police at the scene. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed and a lane violation.
