Matz 1-hitter sparks Raiders

Nikki Matz tossed a one-hitter and the Seneca Valley softball team pounded out 13 hits in a 12-0, five-inning win at North Hills Monday.

Paige Foley had a pair of hits and drove in three runs for the Raiders (7-6, 6-5).

Boys VolleyballMatt Huey had six kills, but Butler (6-5, 5-4) fell to North Allegheny 25-11, 25-19, 25-14.

Boys TennisMars freshman Josh Raymundo took first place in the Section 3-AA singles tournament recently at Sewickley Academy.Raymundo and fellow freshman Aaron Gruber took second place in the doubles tournament.
