Friday — Donald J. Huff, 34, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on East Pine Street near Park Street. Police said they also cited Huff for a lighting violation.Friday — Alysa Murphy, 31, of Transfer was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance at North Broad and Blaine streets. Murphy also was cited for making an improper turn.Sunday — Someone removed the lug nuts of a woman's vehicle that was parked at the Ivan Drive apartment complex where she lives. The property was taken between 3 p.m. Saturday and 10:25 a.m. Sunday.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.
Tuesday — An unknown vandal broke the side window of a home in the 300 block of Vineyard Circle in Slippery Rock. Damage was estimated at $100. The vandalism happened between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.12:50 a.m. Saturday — Someone armed with a potato gun or sling shot fired an apple that struck and made a hole in the siding of a house on Beaver Dam Road in Clay Township. Damage was estimated at $350.April 12 — An estimated $400 in damage was caused to a car vandalized between April 5 and 12 while parked at a home on Beaver Dam Road in Clay Township.
5:26 p.m. Tuesday — No one was injured when a car driven by Dakota J. Marshall, 17, of Ford City collided head-on with a sport utility vehicle on Altman Road at Balsinger Road in Kiskiminetas Township. Police said Marshall was cited for driving too fast for conditions. James A. Dickey, 27, of Apollo was driving the SUV.12:43 a.m. Sunday — Matthew G. Motosicky, 44, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer on Route 28 just west of Iron Bridge Road in South Buffalo Township.Motosicky and his passenger, Kimberly S. Motosicky, 40, of Kittanning were taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries in the crash. Matthew Motosicky was not wearing a helmet; Kimberly Motosicky was, according to a police report.
5:15 p.m. Monday — An unidentified vehicle struck a car on Interstate 80 in Scrubgrass Township and did not stop after the crash. Beverly J. Gamble, 42, of Wilcox, Elk County, was driving the car.Anyone with information about the hit-and-run accident is asked to call police at 814-676-6596.
