Butler track teams run past North Hills
Multiple Butler athletes recorded wins in several events as the Golden Tornado boys track and field team remained unbeaten with a 130½-19½ rout of North Hills Friday afternoon.
Butler (5-0) won 16 of the 18 events.
On the girls side, Paige Allen won the 100, 200 and long jump to pace Butler (4-1) to a 98-52 victory.

Kiski Area 80, Mars 70 (boys); Mars 90, Kiski Area 65 (girls) — Erica Hans earned first-place finishes in the 100, 200 and 400 meters, while Lydia Dennis swept the jumping events to lead the Mars girls. Emily Thomas had victories in the shot put and discus.
Ori Rinaman won three events, while Chris Smith had a pair of individual wins and was part of the first-place 1,600 relay for the boys.
Both Mars teams sit at 5-1 and return to action Wednesday while hosting the Midwestern Athletic Conference Invitational.

Trevor Shaffer, James Bair and Jake Taciuch each picked up an individual first-place finish and were part of the winning 1,600 relay, while teaming up with Roman Weingartner.
Nikki Yeckel led the girls with victories in both hurdle events and the 200 dash, while also giving a strong second-place performance in the 100.
