5:07 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Sarah Mottern, 68, of Chicora allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with another SUV at Main Street and Stewart Avenue. Police cited Mottern for a stop sign violation. Rosemary Eakman, 62, of Harrisville was the other driver.April 10 — Daniel A. Bowser, 28, is accused of firing a handgun while he was chasing juveniles who had vandalized his property in the 400 block of Flower Avenue. He told police the gun fired by accident.Police said they cited Bowser for illegally discharging a firearm in the borough.

Wednesday — Unspecified property worth $4,200 was stolen from Saxonburg Boulevard Auto Parts Inc. on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. The theft happened between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 5 p.m. Wednesday. Police said they have no suspects.Saturday — An unknown burglar stole $250 in cash, assorted prescription medications and three books of checks from a house on Snyder Lane in Clearfield Township. The break-in happened between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.April 11 — An old wagon was stolen between 2 and 8 a.m. from a home in the 100 block of Valvoline Road in East Butler.2:20 a.m. March 30 — Dorothy Snow, 41, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at West New Castle Road and Fourth Avenue in Butler.

1:14 p.m. Tuesday — Fredrick T. Leyland, 34, of Sarver was arrested for suspicion of drugged driving after he was clocked traveling 84 mph on Route 28 just south of exit 17 in Buffalo Township, Butler County. The road has a posted 65 mph speed limit.Troopers said it appeared Leyland was impaired by drugs. A search turned up a plastic baggie containing 30 pills of suspected klonopin, anti-anxiety prescription medication.Police said that in addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Leyland faces traffic tickets for speeding, driving with a suspended license-DUI related, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving a vehicle without valid inspection.April 10 — Police filed drugged driving and other charges against Regis F. Donahue, 26, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, stemming from a traffic stop at 4:09 a.m. March 26 on Route 422 near the West Kittanning exit in West Franklin Township.Police said they found Donahue with drugs including marijuana and drug contraband.In addition to driving under the influence of drugs, Donahue is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.April 8 — Police charged Alaina M. Lowros, 22, of Kittanning with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and driving an unregistered vehicle stemming from a traffic stop at 8:46 a.m. March 8 on Route 28 and exit 18 in South Buffalo Township.
