COLLEGE NOTES

The 2012-13 Performing Arts Series at Butler County Community College hosts the final event in the series, Pittsburgh Philharmonic's “Romeo and Juliet,” on May 17 in the Succop Theater on campus. Spring music department recitals all begin at 7:30 p.m. in Swope Music Hall and will feature: Abigail Iksic and Katie Amerson, piano, on Monday.Dancers will present their spring show at 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Swope Music Hall.

GCC student-actors will present adventure, enchantment and dancing in “Seussical the Musical,” this year’s presentation of Dr. Hilda Adam Kring Children’s Theatre, through Saturday in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus.Performances are at 7 p.m. today and Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. Admission is free and no tickets are required; arrive early to ensure seating. Doors open 30 minutes before each performance.
