10:30 a.m. Monday — Shane M. Snyder, 30, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly tried to fill a forged prescription for painkillers at the Target pharmacy in Butler Commons.Snyder later admitted that he changed the quantity of the Vicodin in the prescription from 10 tablets to 20, according to court documents.Police said the suspect attempted to pay for the drugs with a Medicaid-managed heath plan card.Snyder was arraigned on charges of forgery attempted fraudulent acquisition of a controlled substance and insurance fraud, all felonies. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $1,000 bail, following arraignment.

11:23 p.m. Monday — Devan F. McDaniels, 19, of Pittsburgh was arrested after he was caught with suspected marijuana and metal knuckles outside the Broad Street Elementary School. Police were called to the school for a report of four suspicious people there.Officers arrived and found McDaniels and three youths on the steps in front of the school. A search of McDaniels turned up suspected marijuana and drug packaging materials in his back pack, according to court documents. The marijuana weighed 26 grams.Police they also found him with a pair of metal knuckles.McDaniels was arraigned on charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of marijuana, and trespass. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail, following arraignment.8:07 p.m. Monday — Mark W. Holmes Jr., 27, and Corrie G. Hodak, 20, were arrested after they allegedly assaulted one another during a domestic dispute at their home in the 400 block of West Brady Street. Holmes and Hodak were each arraigned on charges of simple assault, and placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 and $1,000 bail, respectively.

3:42 p.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Lisa M. Andrzejewski, 40, and Amanda R. Burkett, 28, both of Slippery Rock, collided on New Castle Road just west of Crocker Road in Slippery Rock Township. The collision forced Burkett's car into an unoccupied sport utility vehicle in a parking lot.Andrzejewski was cited for careless driving.Tuesday — Police accused Omahr E. Issac, 37, of Stoneboro, Mercer County, of making several unauthorized purchases with a 70-year-old Marion Township woman's credit card. Issac illegally used the card between April 10 and Friday. He faces theft and access device fraud charges.
