“Esther the Musical,” written by Valencia resident Jeannie Allen, will be staged at 7 p.m. April 27 and at 2 p.m. April 28 at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. In its eighth production, the musical reflects the Old Testament story of one woman who was inspired by God and changed the course of history. The Broadway-type musical features 18 original songs, all written by Allen, in different styles including operatic, pop, jazz, Jamaican, Hebrew and ballads.
