Alicia Goldner, a mathematics teacher at Butler High School, received an Excellence in Teaching Award from The College of Wooster. Goldner was one of six secondary school teachers honored by the college.

Students at the college recommended teachers who made a significant contribution to the student’s education and challenged the student to do his or her best work.

Goldner was nominated by Emily Donato, a 2012 graduate of Butler High School and a member of the first-year class at Wooster. A panel of Wooster faculty reviewed the nominations and made the selections.
