VNA Alliance adds 5th partner

GC Medical Center joins

GROVE CITY — VNA Alliance, a non-profit home health agency serving Crawford, Mercer and portions of Venango counties, recently added the Grove City Medical Center as the fifth partner to the organization, expanding its mission of delivering health care to patients in their homes.

The other four partners that make up VNA Alliance are the Meadville Medical Center, St. Paul’s senior living community, Wesbury United Methodist Community, and Concordia Visiting Nurses in Cabot.

With the addition of GCMC, VNA Alliance will now serve more than 300 people per month.

“By coming together and sharing resources, we believe we can serve more and serve better,” said VNA Alliance CEO Beth Eckley.

The partnership will create several new jobs and all Grove City Home Health employees were offered positions with VNA Alliance. It employs about 65 people and plans to add registered nurses, physical and occupational therapists and clinical office positions.

Robert C. Jackson, Grove City Medical Center CEO, said in the news release, “For health care organizations to be successful in this era of reform, they need to find like-minded partners who are patient-focused and that is what we found with Concordia, Meadville Medical Center, St. Paul’s and Wesbury.”
