Elinor L. Robinson
Elinor L. Robinson, 80, of Bradys Bend died Saturday at her home.
Born Dec. 9, 1932, in East Brady, she was the daughter of James W. and Beulah M. (Catchpole) Silvis.
Elinor was employed by the Hot Dog Shop in Butler, Long's Dry Cleaners in Chicora and the Owens Illinois Glass Corp. in Clarion. She later worked for Knox Glass in Parker. She retired from the Butler County Mushroom Farm where she worked in the research department.
She was a member of the East Brady Baptist Church, where she was a former choir director and a deaconess.
Elinor was a past member of the East Brady Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary, a member of the Chicora Senior Center and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 488 in Bradys Bend, where she served as the historian and poppy chairman.
For 19 years, Elinor volunteered with the Bradys Bend Food Bank and with VA Butler Healthcare.
She enjoyed crocheting, painting, craft making and line dancing. She was a member of the cast in the stage production “Jesus Christ,” which was performed in East Brady for several years.

Elinor is survived by one brother, Raymond H. Silvis of Bruin; two sisters, Sandra A. Webb of South Daytona, Fla., and Gail D. (John) Potts of Titusville. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford E. Robinson; two brothers, William A. Silvis and James W. Silvis; four sisters, Dolores V. Robinson, Shirley M. Heckler, Kathryn L. Silvis and an infant; and one sister-in-law, Jean Silvis.
ROBINSON — Friends of Elinor Robinson, who died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home, 105 Fourth St., East Brady.Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Hillwig of the East Brady Baptist Church officiating.
