Anna Dambach

Anna E. Cook Dambach, 85, of New Sewickley Township passed away peacefully Friday into the arms of the Lord surrounded by her loving family.

Born Aug. 3, 1927, in Westmoreland County, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Millicent (Hopkins) Cook of Manor, Pa.

Anna was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Along with being a fabulous cook and stay-at-home mother, she was an active member of the St. Peter's Reformed Church in Zelienople and a member of the Big Knob Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Anna enjoyed playing bingo, quilting and crocheting.

Anna leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother, George Cook and his wife, Madeline, of Kentucky; her four sons and daughters-in-law, Oliver and Carmella Dambach of New Sewickley Township, Donald and Cindy Dambach of Raccoon Township, James and Carol Dambach of Wampum and Paul and Tina Dambach of Freedom; her daughter, Anna M. Dambach of Industry; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, James Dambach, and her two sisters, Alice (Cook) Buerkle and Olive Jane (Cook) Thommason.

Anna's family would like to take this opportunity to thank Creek Meadows Senior Guest Haus in Zelienople, especially Dan, Sherry and the staff, for all of the care and comfort given to our mother.

DAMBACH — Family and friends of Anna E. Cook Dambach, who passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. James R. Bertoti officiating. She will be laid to rest privately by her family at St. Peter’s Reformed Church Cemetery in Zelienople.If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s honor in support of the Big Knob V.F.D., 1229 Route 989, Rochester, PA 15074.Online condolences and directions are available at www.boylanfuneralhome.com.
