SV hockey earns win
The Seneca Valley hockey team earned a 4-2 victory over Mt. Lebanon in PIHL Class AAA action on Monday night.
Luke Reed, Spencer Schutte, Jacob Sarachine and Lucas Roman all found the back of the net for the Raiders (14-6-1), while Peter Kippin tallied two assists.
Ian Fraer posted 22 saves to earn the victory for SV, as the Raiders outshot Mt. Lebanon by a 41-24 margin.
Canon McMillan 8, Butler 0— Butler goalie Clay Bachman made 48 saves for the Tornado (9-10), who were outshot 56-23 in the loss.
Private Schools
First Baptist 74, Seeds of Faith 68 (boys basketball) — Trevor Barnhart had 26 points and 16 rebounds and Paul Drake 23 points and seven assists as First Baptist advanced to the SWCAC Division II championship game with this victory over the weekend.
Josh Drake chipped in with 13 points and 17 rebounds for First Baptist.
The Neighborhood Academy 46, First Baptist 32 (girls basketball) — Alyssa Barnhart had 12 points and seven rebounds and Hannah Roth nine points, five steals and three assists to lead First Baptist.
Lydia Roth added four steals and Shelby Poorman six rebounds.
