Sharon A. Gaurrich
Sharon Ann Stiteler Gaurrich, 69, of Prospect passed away Thursday morning surrounded by her family at Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer.
She was born March 21, 1943, and was the daughter of the late Earl and Lorraine Scarborough Stiteler.
Sharon loved her family, cooking and bird watching. She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening and rock 'n' roll music, including AC/DC and Black Sabbath.
She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Gaurrich Sr., who she married Oct. 8, 1960; her children, Howard (Vicki) Gaurrich Jr., Gayle (Thomas) Blackwood and Michael (Tammy) Gaurrich; her grandchildren, Senya, Gary (Kyley), Melissa (Andrew), Thomas, Jessica, Michael, Daniel, Nathan, Stephanie, Rachael and Rebecca; her great-grandchildren, Acelynn, Ryan, Euphiemia, Ramon, Morgan, Kaleb and Sara Lynn; her siblings, Jane (William) Skelley and Mark Stiteler; her nephews and nieces, Jane (Bernie) Geibel, William (Sara) Skelley, Kelly (Dale) Lanham, Lynn (Scott) Bortmas, Kendra Skelley, April (Jason) Morre, Brandy (Chris) Stiteler Moyer, Megan (Larry) Barber, Jennifer (Steve) Brown, Michelle (William) Powell and Robert Stiteler; and several great-nephews and great-nieces.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Robert “Bobby” Gaurrich on Jan. 11, 2013; two brothers, Gary Stiteler and Robert Stiteler; and one sister-in-law, Wendy Harmon Stiteler.
GAURRICH — Visitation for Sharon Ann Stiteler Gaurrich, who died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dominick Scarpino, pastor of Scenic Hill Baptist Church, officiating.
