More than 35 women attended a self-defense seminar Feb. 9 benefiting VOICe at the Young Brothers tae kwon do school in Cranberry Township.

Participants raised $500 in money, gift cards and supplies for the Victims Outreach Intervention Center in Butler County.

The course was led by master instructor Erik Gavula with martial arts students assisting.
