BRADY TWP — The Old Stone House is the site of a Cherry Pie Hike, celebrating the birthday of George Washington.The Feb. 23 event will include remarks by Brady Crytzer, local historian, author and Slippery Rock University graduate.The free program combines history, a winter hike on the North Country Trail and cherry pie. Hikes begin at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. North Country Brewing will provide cherry pie and coffee.Aaron Cowan, assistant professor of history at SRU and the museum's curator, along with SRU students will discuss the former inn and its contents before the hikes.Reservations are required at 724-256-0674.
HARMONY — The Ploughshare Poets will play traditional and non-traditional Celtic music at 7 p.m. March 16 at Bottlebrush: A Gallery for the Arts, 539 Main St.Dinner at Harmony's historic Stohr Haus Bakery Wine Cellar will be available from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.Cost of $30 includes dinner and the show. GIBSONIA — “Beatlemania Magic,” the national touring Beatles tribute band, is scheduled to perform March 2 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road.The production recreates the early Beatles concerts with costumes, equipment and harmonies.
