The Butler County Symphony Orchestra presents an evening of music from Russian composers at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.

The guest artist will be composer and saxophonist Arthur Black, a 2006 Knoch High School graduate who lives in Chicago where he teaches saxophone and performs in a variety of ensembles.

Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door. Student tickets are $5. The symphony is offering a promotion to buy a ticket at regular price and receive an additional ticket for free when mentioning code E2913.

HARMONY — Bottlebrush: A Gallery for the Arts, 539 Main St., will host a Valentine's Day Benefit for the Butler County Humane Society from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 14.Meet dogs and cats from the society, hear music from Blue Sky & Sunshine of Pittsburgh, sample food from local restaurants, view an art exhibit by Ginni Klein, and sign up for auctions, a scavenger hunt and door prizes.Admission is free, but donations of cash or food and toys for the animals will be accepted.
