Ernest Rakaczky, 83, passed away Thursday.

He was the beloved husband of Madeline (Faggaini-FaJohn) Rakaczky; the father of Victoria Seamon of California, Ernest A. Rakaczky of Canada and Charles J. Rakaczky; and the grandfather of Erik, Tara, Sara, Vanessa, Alexis, Charlotte, Charles Jr., Nicholas and Alexander. He also is survived by five great-grandchildren, including the latest, Jasper.

He was the son of the late Andrew and Maria Orosz Rakaczky; and the brother of the late Bill Rakaczky, Viola Turner, Mary Shacoski, Elsie Sombathy and Frank Rakaczky.

Ernest proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Monongahela. He also supported his family as a printer and was a proud member of Local 24 GCIU.

RAKACZKY — Visitation for Ernest Rakaczky, who died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, will be Monday at 10 a.m. until his funeral prayers at 11:30 a.m. at the Boron Funeral Home, 1719 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh.
