FORD CITY — The Armstrong School District will conduct the GED (General Educational Development) 2002 test from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 19 and 20 at the Ford City High School library, Fourth Avenue and 11th Street. Lifesteps is offering Child Check, a free screening service for all children from birth to five years old at the following locations:• 8:30 a.m. to noon, Feb. 4, Butler YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.• 8:30 a.m. to noon, Feb. 25, Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road.A Child Check visit takes approximately 30 minutes with results discussed immediately with parents. The screening looks at the child's development in the areas of playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking.Appointments are recommended but not required.
