Penn State Erie

ERIE — Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, offers a Penn State MBA at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry Township.

The program is offered through the Sam and Irene Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend and in partnership with the Pittsburgh area Penn State campuses of Beaver, Greater Allegheny, and New Kensington.

“Coursework focuses on the practical application of theory to the world of business, often enabling students to work with local organizations to fashion real solutions to real problems,” said Alfred Warner, associate professor with Penn State Behrend’s MBA program.

“By applying what is learned during class to everyday business problems, our MBA students gain valuable knowledge they can immediately apply to their professional lives.”

The program also emphasizes development of planning and problem-solving skills.

Each three-credit course involves four class meetings per semester at the Regional Learning Alliance. The remaining instruction is online.

Depending upon prior undergraduate coursework, it will take about five to eight semesters to complete the program. Students with undergraduate degrees in business may be exempt from 15 credit hours of foundation core courses.

Penn State Behrend’s MBA is listed among the best in the country by U.S. News & World Report and the Princeton Review and accredited by AACSB International, a designation held by just 15 percent of colleges and universities worldwide.

The Regional Learning Alliance is at the intersection of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, I-79 and Routes 19 and 228.
