Janice S. Faust
Janice S. Faust, 71, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born March 14, 1941, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Elton Oliver Grabe and Elizabeth (Welsh) Grabe.
Janice was a member of the first graduating class from Knoch High School in 1959. She then went on to graduate in 1963 from Slippery Rock University with a bachelors degree in education. She was a substitute teacher for the South Butler School District and also the Midwestern Intermediate Unit.
Janice was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years. She also served as an elder and deacon. Janice was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Janice enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and crafting.
Surviving are her loving husband, David L. Faust, who she married on Jan. 20, 1962; her children, Denise (Faust) Wukits and her husband, John, Kellie (Faust) Pettit and her husband, Mike, Lori (Faust) McCabe, Garry Faust and his wife, Terri, and Heather (Faust) Tripp and her husband, Tedd; her grandchildren, Eric and Joshua Wukits, Kelsie and Dylan Pettit, Garret, Sarah and Emily McCabe, Jakob and Lydia Faust and Amilia, Tedd, Elliot and Sophia Tripp; her siblings, Merlin “Dutch” Grabe and his wife, Grace, Margaret “Peggy” Peters and Tom Grabe and his wife, Darlene; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maryann Grabe Covert.
FAUST — A memorial service for Janice S. Faust, who passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Summit Presbyterian Church, Butler, with the Rev.
