Butler Police3:03 p.m. Friday — Richard M. Nolan, 21, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking after he allegedly stole $274 belonging to Ryan Pengryn of Butler while visiting Pengryn’s East Walnut Street home.11:11 p.m. Tuesday — James E. Fleeger, 29, of Butler was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court while allegedly trying to break into a vehicle on Morrow Road in Fenelton. He was charged with public drunkenness and receiving stolen property after he allegedly had a stolen cell phone, sunglasses and a wrench set in his possession, with a total value of $160, as well as a bent coat hanger, fashioned to unlatch car locks. The phone’s apparent owner claimed it at the city police station, alleging it had been stolen from his vehicle on North Main Street.
Butler Twp. Police7:14 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Shauna Cress, 26, of Butler, a vehicle driven by Deborah Ferguson, 58, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Heather Ketterer, 38, of Butler collided at the intersection of Evans City and South Duffy roads. Ferguson was taken by Butler Ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital for arm and shoulder injuries. Cress allegedly attempted to flee south on South Duffy Road before being stopping by police a short distance from the accident. She was arrested under suspicion of DUI.
