Harvey L. Scott
Harvey L. “Harv” Scott, 70, of Butler passed away at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Oct. 24, 1942, in Butler to the late Harvey Scott and Avanell (Brown) Scott.
He owned and operated Scott’s Autobody.
Mr. Scott was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora. He was a member of the Butler Lodge 272, F&AM, and also the Butler Area Street Machine Association. Mr. Scott enjoyed spending time on cars and especially with his kids and grandkids.
Mr. Scott is survived by two sons, Robert H. Scott and his wife, Judy, of Slippery Rock and Eric E. Scott and his wife, Tracey, of Chicora; one daughter, Darla Haid and her husband, Mark, of Chicora; six grandchildren, Luke Scott, Ryan Scott, Erika Scott, Trevor Scott, Cameron Haid and Devon Haid; and one brother, Dwight Scott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca J. (Becky) Scott, who he married on June 23, 1962, and who passed away on Dec. 26, 2011.
SCOTT — Friends of Harvey L. “Harv” Scott, who died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. N. St. Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph J. Boomhower of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora officiating. Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of Greater Pittsburgh, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
