Huskies hockey wins pair on road
PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Huskies U16AAA hockey team improved to 7-1 on the PAHL season with a pair of road victories over the weekend.
The Huskies downed the Altoona Trackers by a 3-2 score on Saturday with help from goalie Clay Bachman, who recorded 30 saves. Nick Makozy, Nick Whann and Christian Miller all scored for the Huskies, while Dustin Davis added two assists.
On Sunday, the Huskies earned a 5-0 shutout over the South Hills Panthers, as Cley Pujol stopped all 19 shots. Miller scored twice, while Perry Shiring, Davis and Whann also found the back of the net.
