RACHEL TANO (Knoch) won the 100 breaststroke (1:08.26), 200 breaststroke (2:27.28) and was a member of the winning 400 medley relay (3:59.77) and 400 free relay (3:40.29) as the Clarion University women’s swimming and diving team downed Bloomsburg 192.5-107.5 Saturday.
KATRESA SAVISKY (Butler) scored 15 points for Point Park University in a 74-60 loss to Daemen (N.Y.) College on Saturday.
JUSTIN PRITCHARD (Seneca Valley) and ANDREW OPALEWSKI (Slippery Rock), members of the Penn State Behrend men’s swimming and diving team, helped the Lions capture the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:41.32 against Penn State Altoona in a 124-76 triumph Friday.
HEATH CALHOUN (Butler) captured the 3-meter diving event with 327.75 points in Clarion University’s 153-130 victory over Bloomsburg Saturday.
JORDAN McELHANEY (Butler) and KELSEY REOTT (Slippery Rock), members of the Westminster College women’s swimming and diving team, captured victories in their respective events: McElhaney in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.31) and Reott in the 50 freestyle (26.14) and as a member of the 200 medley relay (1:58.63) in the Titans’ 130-94 victory over Bethany College Saturday.
DAN GUTMANN (Seneca Valley) won the 100 breaststroke (1:04.78) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay (1:42.09) to pace the Westminster men’s swimming and diving team to a 110-56 victory over Bethany College Saturday.
SAM WEBER (Freeport) tallied the game-winning goal just 1 minute, 27 seconds into overtime to help the Grove City College women’s soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Western Connecticut State Saturday, giving the Wolverines their first-ever NCAA Division III Championship tournament victory.
NICK SUTTON (Butler), a member of the Thiel College wrestling team, went 3-1 to finish in third place in the 133-pound division at the 17-team Washington & Jefferson Invitational Saturday.
