U.S. Navy Seaman Lyndsey McIlwain, daughter of Cynthia and Timothy McIlwain of Cranberry Township, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

McIlwain is a 2005 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas. She is a 2010 graduate of Louisiana Tech University, Ruston, La., where she received a bachelor’s degree.

U.S. Air Force Airman Zachary Wheeler graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Wheeler is the son of Dawn Wheeler of Karns City and Les Wheeler of Forestvale, Live Oak, Texas. He is a 2010 graduate of Moniteau High School.

U.S. Navy Seaman Apprentice Brandon Petras, son of Andrea and Richard Petras of Worthington, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Petras is a 2012 graduate of Kittanning High School.
