Hilda Odette Asturias Darsie, 62, of Slippery Rock, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, died at 10:25 a.m. Wednesday at Orchard Manor, Grove City.

She was born April 12, 1950, in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and was the daughter of Jose Gustavo Asturias and Marta Alicia Castellanos.

She married Richard Floyd Darsie Jr. on June 17, 1982.

She grew up in Guatemala City and, after graduating from high school, she completed an additional year of vocational school.

She was an administrative assistant and worked in various industries including insurance and agrochemical. She worked in the biology department at the University of Del Valle in Guatemala City. She enjoyed crocheting.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Floyd Darsie Jr. of Grove City; and two daughters, Marlene B. Maloney and her husband, John Maloney, of Delran, N.J., and M. Helen Darsie of Pasadena, Calif. Also surviving are four nieces and one nephew.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Marta Adela Asturias Aguilar.
