Pair of SR backs crack 100 yards in win
Frank Conlon and Joey Meyer enjoyed 100-yard rushing games Friday night as Slippery Rock's ground game wore down Oil City, 28-13, in high school football action.
Conlon had 20 carries for 126 yards while Meyer tallied 107 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries. Ryan Currie added 95 yards rushing, including a 41-yard scoring run.
The Rockets (8-1) rushed for 333 yards on the night.
Taylor Stamm threw for 113 yards for Oil City.
Union 19, Keystone 0
The Golden Knights (8-1) played without versatile back Kaden McGregor, but posted a shutout.
Brody Shick tossed a 37-yard scoring pass to Aaron Graham to give Union the early lead. Keenan Rankin scored on a 34-yard run in the fourth quarter.
Brandon Stitt returned an interception to the end zone for the Golden Knights' final touchdown.
Rankin paced Union with 62 yards rushing. Union's defense denied Keystone inside the Golden Knights' 10-yard line twice.
Punxsutawney 38, Moniteau 23
Dustin Geagan had 26 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort for the Warriors (1-8).
Cody Skiver tossed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Tanner Blair and Andrew Armagost scored on a 4-yard run for Moniteau.
Skiver completed eight of 11 passes for 63 yards and Trevor Shaffer had four catches for 44 yards, but Moniteau was plagued by four turnovers.
Clarion 49, A-C Valley 14
The unbeaten Bobcats clinched the KSAC Small-School title for the third straight season.
Mike Suto scored A-C Valley's lone offensive touchdown on an 11-yard run. Jimmy Holton blocked a punt and Suto returned it one yard for the Falcons' (3-5, 3-2) other score.
Camron Kirkland caught two touchdown passes, ran for a score and returned an interception while John Katis threw three touchdown passes for Clarion, which won its 17th straight conference game.
Grove City 49, Sharon 14
The Eagles (8-1) generated 555 yards of offense in the win. Harold Price rushed for 164 yards and caught a 29-yard touchdown pass from Jared Graham.
Graham threw for 132 yards, finding Kyle Trinch for a 75-yard TD pass as well.
Chad Williams rushed for 98 yards and a score while Foster Reznor ran for 67 yards and a touchdown. Sharon threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns in the loss.
