SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University’s women’s volleyball team defeated Edinboro, 3-1, Friday night at Morrow Field House.

Scores of the games were 25-17, 22-25, 25-18, 28-26, The Rock improved to 14-11 overall, 7-5 in the PSAC.

Edinboro, which had won at least 23 matches in each of the last five seasons, slipped to 8-17, 5-7.

Shelby Obitts had 12 kills, two assists and 14 digs for The Rock. Sarah Cadwallader and Caroline Houston finished with 11 kills each.

Hannah McShea had 26 digs and four aces.

Marah Maycock had a match-high 16 kills for Edinboro.

The Rock hosts Gannon at 2 p.m. Saturday for a homecoming match.
