As a mother, she watched one of her children succumb to a terminal illness. As a wife, she experienced emotional abandonment and the pain of adulterous affairs.

WINFIELD TWP — Good Samaritan Hospice, a mission of Concordia Lutheran Ministries, is hosting a weekly Christ-centered support group series, Griefshare.The sessions take place at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday in the Haven II second-floor classroom, 148 Marwood Road, on the Concordia at Cabot campus. Celebrate Recovery at North Main Street Church of God will present Doug Hallock and his music and testimony at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 as part of its program to celebrate 7 years as a healing ministry.In 2004, Doug was homicidal and suicidal and addicted to heroin.After an intervention, he entered the Teen Challenge Program.He left Teen Challenge and began writing music about the pain of addiction, the glory of salvation and the need to stay in recovery.
