Abby Jones' fourth-place finish of 20 minutes and four seconds led the Knoch girls cross-country team to victory at the Central Catholic Invitational Saturday at Schenley Park.

Freeport's girls, who placed second, featured Kayla Zboran placing first (19:43) and Becca Dudek sixth (20:20).

Tina Pettit contributed a seventh-place effort (20:47) for Knoch.

On the boys' side, Knoch was fourth and was led by Preston Carlsson at 17:40.

Freeport placed eighth and was paced by Colin Meehan's 18:31.

Union 41, Kennedy Catholic 21 — Brody Shick completed 6 of 14 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Knights (5-1) rolled to this road victory.Kaden McGregor was on the receiving end of all three touchdown aerials — on from 60 yards out and two from 15 — ending the game with four catches worth 102 yards.Cody Kline led Union on the ground with 41 of the team's 139 yards, including scoring runs of 11 and 1.Cody Stockdill added a 3-yard touchdown run in the final quarter to cap the Knights' output.Keenan Rankin was good on six of seven extra-point attempts.Union hosts Clarion-Limestone Friday.Deer Lakes 18, Summit Academy 14 — The Knights let a 14-0 lead slip away, surrendering 18 fourth-quarter points to the Lancers (3-3, 2-3) in this Allegheny Conference showdown.Junior Will Johnson scored both touchdowns for Summit Academy, the first on a 9-yard run in the first quarter. He then returned an interception 67 yards for another score in the second period.The Knights struggled on offense much of the day, totaling just 82 yards with 55 rushing and 27 passing.Javon Cooper rushed for 28 yards on six carries, while quarterback Christopher Harp completed 2 of 12 passes for 27 yards.Defensive lineman Hamin Williams paced the Knights' defense with 10 tackles.Summit Academy (2-4, 1-4) travels to Valley on Friday.
