Marian Stafford Pastorius, 86, of Valencia died Saturday morning in the comfort of her home, after an illness.

Marian was born in Beverly, N.J., on Nov. 1, 1925.

She was a chemist for the Aristech Chemical Co., and retired in 1986.

She was a member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church, and a life member of the Mars Chapter of the Eastern Star 271. She was a 1945 graduate of Palmyer High School in Palmyra, N.J.

Marian is survived by a son, Edward Pastorius, and his wife Nancy of Cherry Hill, N.J., five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Pastorius, and a son, Daniel Pastorius.

PASTORIUS— Friends of Marian Stafford Pastorius, who died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, are invited to a memorial service at the Mars United Presbyterian Church, 232 Crowe Ave., Mars, at 11 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Nathan Esser, pastor, officiating. Members of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service during the funeral service at the church. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Mars Chapter 271, Order of the Eastern Star, c/o Marcia Hollard, 407 Church St. Ext., Mars, PA 16046.

Arrangements were made by the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, Pa. 16046.
