MEGHAN FRANZ (Seneca Valley) had 13 kills to lead the California (Pa.) University women’s volleyball team to a 3-1 victory over Edinboro University Saturday.

TIM McNERNEY (Knoch) had 20 carries for 88 yards and a touchdown to key Washington & Jefferson College to a 28-26 victory over Bethany College in Presidents’ Athletic Conference football action Saturday.

TAYLOR TROYAN (Butler), a member of the Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team, made three saves in net to preserve a 2-0 victory over La Roche College Saturday.

SAM WEBER (Freeport) had three goals and an assist and SHANNON BISHOP (Grove City) scored twice to lead the Grove City College women’s soccer team to an 11-0 victory over Bethany College Saturday. Weber’s assist came on one of Bishop’s goals, while SARAH CESSAR (Slippery Rock) assisted Weber on her hat-trick goal.

JAKE GAMBLE (Butler) registered both goals to help send the Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team to a 2-1 victory over La Roche Saturday.

CARLIE BIERANOWSKI (Freeport), a member of the Clarion University women’s volleyball team, recorded 15 kills and seven digs in a 3-1 victory over Mercyhurst Saturday.

JASON ANNA (Slippery Rock), a member of the Penn State Altoona men’s cross-country team, finished in 11th place with a time of 29 minutes, 44.2 seconds at the Mt. Aloysius College Invitational at Ebensburg Country Club. The Lions placed second out of seven squads.
