Lucille V. Rentz
Lucille V. Rentz, 93, of New Castle, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away Tuesday evening at the Golden Hill Nursing Home, New Castle.
Born Dec. 3, 1918, in Boyers, she was a daughter of David and Pearl Sproull Hennon.
She married Donald Rentz on June 26, 1936. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1998.
She was a graduate of Grove City High School.
Lucille was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening, needlework, quilting and reading. She also like singing and studying her Bible.
She was a member of the Dewey Avenue Holiness Church. Previously, she was active with the Ellwood City Free Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and the adult Bible class.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lenore and Robert Ewing of Ellwood City; a son and daughter-in-law, David E. and Janice Rentz of Pittsburgh; a brother, Donald Hennon of Grove City; four grandchildren, Robert, Jodi, David and Kim; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Morgan.
RENTZ — Visitation for Lucille V. Rentz, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. William Schafer will officiate.
