Ella Jane Fielding
Ella Jane Fielding, 73, of Salem, Ohio, formerly of Greenville, Pa., passed away Friday morning in Salem after an extended illness.
She was born in Boyers on Feb. 27, 1939, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Naples) Brown.
She was a 1957 graduate of Grove City High School. While living in Salem, she worked as a pharmacy tech at Marc’s Pharmacy. She was previously employed at the Reynolds Drug Store in Greenville.
She was a member of the St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville. Her hobbies included reading and traveling to see her children and grandchildren.
She married George E. Fielding on Sept. 17, 1960, and he passed away on Dec. 25, 1991.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan R. Gregory and her husband, Scott, of Salem; two sons, Gregory E. Fielding and his wife, Sandi, of Benton, La., and Jeffrey E. Fielding of Homestead, Fla.; a sister, Mary Bortot of Beaver; and a brother, Regis Brown and his wife, Dorothy, of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Emelie McFarland; and two brothers, Samuel Brown and Richard Brown.
FIELDING — A Mass of Christian burial for Ella Jane Fielding, who died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Chris Hamlett, pastor, as celebrant. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the LOUTZENHISER-JORDAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville. Burial with committal will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
