A pair of Butler men are accused of drug trafficking.

State police vice officers Sunday charged the suspects, 26-year-old Levi R. Gates and 25-year-old Wayne Speakman, in connection with a drug deal last year in Butler.

Investigators said Gates and Speakman allegedly sold 3.4 grams of marijuana to a police informant during a Dec. 8 controlled drug buy at the defendants’ home on Center Avenue.

Both men are charged with delivery of a controlled substance, conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance.
