SLIPPERY ROCK — The Butler County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual dinner Wednesday at the new Robert M. Smith Student Center at Slippery Rock University.

The dinner will honor the 2012 William A. Morgan Entrepreneur of the Year and the chamber's Business Champion.

Bob McCafferty, owner of the North Country Brewing Co., in Slippery Rock is the entrepreneur of the year, and Sherry Kyne, owner of The Atrium and Eisler Nurseries on Route 422 in Prospect, is the business champion.

The Butler County Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh will host “First Step: Business Startup Essentials,” at the chamber office in the Morgan Building, 101 E. Future POS of Butler, which writes point-of-sales software for the hospitality industry, in July was awarded the Gold Vendor Award of Excellence from the Retail Solution Providers Association at the group's meeting in Las Vegas.
