HARRISBURG — The Butler Cubs, members of the Senior Olympics of Western Pennsylvania, competed in the Pa. State Senior Games recently.

Numerous team members won medals.

The state Senior Games serve as a qualifier for the National Senior Games, slated for Cleveland next summer. State medalists qualify for nationals.

Butler Cubs athletes and the activities in which they medaled follow:

Carol McCollough

Gold: Mixed doubles in bowling, 3-point basketball shooting

Silver: Basketball 21, Basketball Hot Shot, 65+ volleyball, golf, doubles pickle ball

Bronze: Doubles bowling, basketball foul shooting, doubles shuffleboard

Patty Swartzlander

Silver: Doubles pickle ball, 55+ volleyball

Nancy Brown

Silver: Doubles pickle ball, 55+ volleyball

Silver: Doubles pickle ball, 65+ volleyball

Silver: Singles and mixed doubles bowling, 55+ volleyball
