Mary Belle Sutton

Mary Belle Sutton, 76, of Butler passed away at 5:15 a.m. Thursday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 16, 1936, in Butler to the late James Swartzlander and Gladys Flick Swartzlander.

Mrs. Sutton was a self-employed seamstress.

Mrs. Sutton is survived by her husband, Donald E. Sutton Sr., who she married Aug. 23, 1957; one son, Donald E. Sutton Jr. of Chicora; four daughters, Vickie Knestaut and her husband, Danny, of Greensburg, Wendy Pratts and her husband, Eddie, of Butler, Debby Sutton of Butler and Christine Martin and her husband, Patrick, of Palmyra, Pa.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six sisters, Linda McCormick and her husband, Dennis, of West Sunbury, Gladys DeMatteis and her husband, Richard, of Boyers, Peg Rittenhouse and her husband, Charles, of Ohio, Nora Spohn and her husband, Fred, of Butler, Wilda Kenney of Tarentum and Esther Cole of Grove City; her sister-in-law, Vivian King of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ronald Swartzlander, and one sister, Matilda Rome.

SUTTON — According to the wishes of Mary Belle Sutton, who died Thursday, July 19, 2012, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA 16053.
