CRANBERRY TWP — The Thursday evening Cranberry Community Park concert by the 60-member Pittsburgh Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, whose original July 26 performance was canceled by rain, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Rotary Amphitheatre.

Likewise, the Aug. 9 concert by Jill West and the Blues Attack, also canceled due to weather, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 6.

Admission is free. Guests should take their own lawn chairs or blankets. Rotary members will operate a refreshment stand on site.

CHICORA — The Chicora Volunteer Fire Department will present Freedom Fest, “Remembering Our Fallen Heroes,” from 8 to 11 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Chicora Fire Station, 202 W. Slippery Rock St. Doors open at 6 p.m.The band American Pie will play music from the '60s, '70s and '80s.Admission is $10. Tickets are available at the door or by calling 724-445-2220.

FOXBURG — Allegheny RiverStone Center for the Arts' fourth annual Foxburg Scottish Festival will take place Friday and Saturday.Activities begin at 7 p.m. Friday with a traditional Ceilidh on the Foxburg Green. The social gathering with music will feature the Scottish entertainer Carl Peterson, tartan tenor Robert Murdoch, bagpiper Patrick Regan, and fiddler Bruce Erwin. Take a lawn chair or blanket and a picnic basket. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.The festival moves to RiverStone Farm on Saturday with gates opening at 9 a.m. The schedule includes music, dancing, athletic competition including the caber toss and stone and hammer throws, Scottish food and vendors.Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for children younger than 6.Saturday night at 7 p.m. will be a closing concert at Lincoln Hall featuring the Celtic/Scottish sounds of Maidens IV.
