Air National Guard Airman Catlin Furnia graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Furnia is the daughter of Melissa Furnia of Morrisonville, N.Y., and granddaughter of Curtis Furnia of Zelienople.

She is a 2010 graduate of Saranac Central High School, N.Y.

Jennifer Vogel, who serves with the 128th Company C of the Army National Guard unit in Pittsburgh, was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

She is the daughter of Charles and Georgia Vogel of Sarver.

Navy Seaman Dustin Vanhook, son of Nancy Vanhook of Grove City and Kenneth Vanhook of Las Cruces, N.M., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Vanhook is a 2006 graduate of Grove City High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College in 2011.

Navy Seaman Adam Geibel was recently promoted to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Geibel received the early promotion for outstanding performance during all phases of the training cycle.

Geibel is a 2010 graduate of Butler High School and is the son of Sarah Smith of Butler and Ronald Geibel of Dallas, N.C.
