FRANKLIN TWP, Beaver County — The Red Barn Players’ second show of the season will be the dramatic comedy “Tuesdays with Morrie” running through July 21.

The show, written by Mitch Albom and Jeffrey Hatcher, is directed by Tom Tillia of Ellwood City.

“Tuesdays with Morrie” is the autobiographical story of Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor.

Sixteen years after graduation from Brandeis University, Albom happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

They are reunited, and what starts as a simple visit turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

The cast includes Frank Myers of Baden, Robert Hazen from New Castle and Lynda Brenner from Beaver Falls.

Performances are 8 p.m. today through Saturday and July 18 to 21 at the Red Barn Theatre, Route 228.

Tickets are $12. For reservations, call 724-773-7150.
