SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock Area Parks and Recreation will be holding its Junk In Your Trunk event Aug. 4.

Participants will park their car in a spot, open their trunks and sell items out of it.

Spots open at 8 a.m. with the sale running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is required, costing $5 per vehicle, per spot.

SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — Marcellus Outreach Butler will be sponsoring a Marcellus Monitoring Training on Friday.The free event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Macoskey Center at Slippery Rock University, 246 Harmony Road.The workshop will provide information on the science behind Marcellus Shale, locating drilling sites, visual assessment and water monitoring. GROVE CITY — The Grove City Community Library will present “Marketing Yourself For Your Next Job Opportunity” on Monday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.The event will help people on where to begin a job search, how to prepare a cover letter and resume, and how to prepare for an interview.The free event will be held at the library, 125 W.
